Green Giveaway!

Happy Earth Day! To celebrate, I'm having a giveaway contest for some of the items I've talked about and will talk about this month. More may be added, but here's what's up in the prize package right now:
1 pair of dryer balls from UpCycle Mama
1 cloth menstrual pad from WillowPads
1 Chico Bag
1 microfiber cloth
1 sample bottle of Allens Naturally Detergent
$5 gift certificate to Snooty Booty Diapers
That's over a $30 retail value!

To enter, leave a comment on this post telling one reusable product you use around the home and love (I might get some new ideas!). Blog followers that leave a comment will receive an extra entry.

The winner will be chosen April 30th using a random number generator.
Good luck!

I use socks with holes in them as cleaning rags. I know it sounds silly, but they are great! I just slip it on over my hand and wipe away!!

I'm all about the Baby Cubes for freezing/storing, defrosting, microwaving, and serving my home-made baby food from.

CLOTH DIAPERS! Just joking! We re-use everything we can, not only does it save money but it makes me feel good about "being green." We've saved babyfood jars, to orangize things like tacks and nails. Also, where we live we have to order a lot of things we want/need online. We reuse every box, for storage in the garage or sending boxes overseas-wrapped in paper bags from the grocery store of course!!

unpapertowels are my re-useable household item of choice right now. I love them! We also have hankys instead of tissues and I reuse old curtains for dresses, prefold embellisments, and whatever else I can think of.

My husband had some white t-shirts he was going to get rid of--they had holes in them. I cut them up and use them for baby wipes. They are so soft. I have some cute cloth wipes that I ordered for the diaper bag, but when I'm around the house I use the cut-up tee shirts.

Family Cloth!! My newest reusable venture that I am thoroughly enjoying, wiping my tushies with velour :-)

I use a Diva Cup and love it. I know I have saved so much money and prevented so much waste from just that one item. I also avoid paper towels at all costs. Regular towels do the job just fine, if not better. And I use family cloth as well. Now if I could just get hubby to switch... ;)

We try to use as much re-usable products as we can. I bought a bunch of wash cloths at Target a while ago for less than $2 for 12. I purchased several dozen. I use these all the time for clean up. I have drastically reduced the amount of paper towels we use. I don't even think we go through a roll a month these days. We also use cloth wipes, cloth diapers, our everyday dishes (instead of disposables), cloth napkins, you name it and we are open to trying it. I still have not tried the products for women, but since I am pregnant I won't need those for a little while. :)

I use old sheets to make playclothes for my daughter and clothes for her dolls and stuffed animals.

I use rags to clean the windows instead of paper towels. I save my daughter's formula containers and decorate them; I have one for her keepsakes from when she was first born. I reuse gift bags. I also use parts of product packaging in my stamping/scrapping room to make new projects.
