Booroi Cover Info and a Giveaway!

A prefold and cover system is one of the least expensive diapering systems. Prefolds and covers are easy to care for as well. Yet a lot of parents shy away from prefolds and covers because they seem "too hard." While a prefold and cover seems really different than disposables, they are just as easy to use as their pocket and all-in-one cousins. For those that want to try prefolds and covers but don't want to "fuss" with pins or a Snappi, trifolding prefolds is quick, easy and effective.

Lately, Booroi covers have been getting a lot of buzz, and for good reason! For inquisitive toddlers, these covers offer a side-snapping closure. To make trifolding easier, the gussets wrap around the entire cover and are elasticated throughout. The prefold or flat tucks easily into the walls of the cover and underneath the gussets. This is great for preloading the prefolds for the diaper bag or caregivers.
For those that do enjoy using a Snappi or pins and just really need a side-snapping cover, Booroi also works well. The fit is trim and is good for front-wetting children that need maximum coverage in the front (not covered by the wings). I find that Booroi covers wipe clean as easily as other covers, and also dry quickly if you want to fully rinse before reusing. They will get soiled with a messy poo, but no more easily than trifolding with other covers. The gussets do help to contain mess to the cover and not the clothes. For maximum poo containment and cleaner covers, a Snappi and pins is usually the way to go.

I really enjoy using Booroi covers. It's great to preload them and have them ready to go, and I also really like the trim fit I get when using a Snappi. The rise on Booroi is generous so it's never a problem to cover the prefold completely.

Booroi covers come in 5 solid colors and have just released two new prints, which are available in newborn and x-large sizes as well!

I would like to try one because I've found that side snapping diapers are more trim fitting so I'd think that a side snapping cover would help to be more trim also.

Added my baby in a prefold that I made. The only prefolds we have are gerber ones that I use as doublers, newborn ones but we started CDing at 3.5months and the ones I made

I absolutely adore Boorois! The colors are fabulous, the snaps are perfect, and the gussets are truly amazing. I use them with both prefolds and fitteds, and they work wonderfully on my little guy.

I love the idea of a "tuckable" prefold. I usually snappi, but have been experimenting with trifolding. That would make it easier! Also, side snaps are a plus with an 18-month-old.

I'd love to try these because I've been using wool and fleece covers that I made myself, but it would be great to have something trimmer to use with my prefolds!
Plus, it would be great to have a few more prefolds!

I am expecting b/g twins at the end of the year and would like to cloth diaper. The Booroi cover looks easy to use and I like the new red striped pattern.

I follow your blog. It's amazing what progress has been made in 13 years. I wouldn't have even considered CDing in 1996 when my first child was born. Now that I'm expecting twins I won't consider NOT CDing!
