Pail Liner Giveaway to promote Traveling with Cloth!

Soldier Sweetie comment #13...I can't find any contact info for you, so please use the contact button above to let me know your name and address before June 20th! Thanks :)
As many of you know from past posts, the Real Diaper Association is focusing on traveling with cloth diapers this quarter as part of their 100% Reusable Cloth Diapers Campaign. To help get more attention before this focus wraps up, I'm having a giveaway for a Wahmies pail liner (easy to use while traveling for diapers or laundry).

To enter:
US Residents may enter from June 4, 2010 through 11:59 pm EST June 15, 2010. Winner will be drawn through a random number generator on June 16, 2010. The valid comment number that matches the generated number will be the winner.

Please leave contact information in your comment(s). I will make every attempt to contact you and will post the winner here. If I have not heard from the winner by June 20, 2010, another winner will be drawn.

Here's how to enter (Please leave a separate comment for each entry. If you're already a fan or already subscribe, simply leave a comment saying so):
1. Mandatory entry: Leave a tip at the RDA Traveling with Cloth Tip Sheet. Post back here after leaving it and be sure to copy the tip here as well!
2. Follow this blog for an entry (following or subscribing via feed is fine).
3. Become a Snooty Booty fan on Facebook for an entry.
4. Subscribe to the Snooty Booty Diapers mailing list for an entry. (button on right sidebar)
5. Add Snooty Booty Diaper's button (link is on the right sidebar) to your blog or web site for an entry. Post a link to where you added it.
6. For 5 extra entries (and 50 Booty Bucks), submit a post telling about an experience you had traveling with cloth diapers. Use the comment form above to submit.
Good luck!

Made a comment: 1. Bring a large wetbag (or 2 if possible) I have the PlanetWise Hanging Wet/Dry Bag and it works great on trips....2. Check for laundry facilities before choosing where to stay...3. Bring enough detergent...4. Remember you can wash by hand and hang dry as well.

When we went away recently I bought a small container with a lid, in it I packed all my clean diapers for the time we where gone, minus what I packed in the diaper bag for the way there. Once we got to our destination I unpacked the diapers and then used the container for my dirty diapers. I packed the unused diapers in my diaper bag for the trip home. It was easy! I also made sure that the hotel we stayed at had a place for me to launder my diapers if I needed to and made sure to bring a small detergent sample with me for that!

posted a comment:I think it would be wise to find out ahead of time from the hotel where the closest laundromat is or if the hotel can do it for you. Best not to leave this to the last minute when you're there.

I left a comment: My suggestions are to bring lots of diapers, bring more than one wetbag and bring your own detergent so you can wash your diapers.

Mary M. Wyoming double-check your process when doing laundry away from home - it's easy to just follow your routine and not realize the dryer was on high.

Posted comment: Make sure you take plenty of cloth diapers with you, in case you aren't able to wash as often as you think you'll be able to. Also make sure to bring a large wet bag with a zipper or drawstring closure. Bring your own detergent since you may not be able to buy or borrow cloth diaper friendly detergent.

1. made a comment. I make sure when I am visiting a relative they are on board with me using their washer. I also get a few small containers and pre-measure detergent so I do not need to bring the whole container.

Posted a comment: Put your dirty diapers in a bucket w/ a lid in the trunk of your car while traveling if you will be on the road for an extended period of time.

Here's my comment:
1. Get a wet bag! They are so handy for lots of other things besides storing diapers.
2. Bring sample sized laundry detergent with you. Or pre-pack liquid detergent into small bottles

My Comment: Use Flushable Liners if you need to, bring your wet bag and you are set! I have never had any issues cloth diapering and traveling. You can always wash your diapers by hand if you had to.

Post Comment:
I recently went to the beach and brought more than enough diapers, inserts, etc. I brought 2 wet bags, one for wet and one for soiled. Flushable liners saved the day for me! I also brought about 20 cloth wipes with me, too. It was much easier than I thought. I ran into no issues and never had to do laundry until I returned home.

This is the tip I left on RDA's website:
I would first tell them to have grace for themselves and their children. Disposables are wasteful, but is it worth being angry at yourself or frustrated at your children? ....Secondly, I *know* that it is possible to use 100% while traveling. So my tip would be to pack AIOs & biodegradable liners that can be thrown away.

I have no personal experience traveling with cloth (my babe is still in-utero), but I do live vicariously through my friend Alison who does! She & her family go camping every year and she CDs her youngest two. You can tell which camp site is theirs by the colorful bumGenius and gDiapers :) She is just amazingly patient and hand-washes them (of course, she always has to remember to bring CD-safe detergent along).
